La grande naïveté d’un homard bien élevé
Homère le homard est invité à dîner. Il est ravi ! Comme il est bien élevé, il s’empresse d’acheter un cadeau pour ses hôtes. D’ailleurs, ceux-ci aussi ont un cadeau pour Homère : une jolie paire d’élastiques pour ses pinces ! Aïe aïe aïe, cela ne sentirait-il pas un peu le traquenard ?
D’autant que quelques petits indices pourraient l’amener à se poser des questions. Mais non, droit sur sa queue, il ne semble pas prêter une grande attention à la petite Hortense qui, plus futée que lui, s’évertue à le sauver d’un destin fort funeste.
Pire, Homère en veut à la petite fille : n’est-elle pas agaçante à la fin de vouloir à toute force le mener vers la sortie de la maison ?
C’est à se demander si notre Homère ne commettrait pas une erreur manifeste d’appréciation ?
La suite des événements semble mener à la catastrophe pour Homère. Heureusement pour lui, il est le protagoniste d’un album dont le jeune lecteur est le héros ! Dès lors, deux scénarios sont possibles…

Écrit par Michael Buckley, un quadragénaire américain et par Finn, son fils de sept ans, l’album est illustré par Catherine Meurisse, dessinatrice de presse (Charlie Hebdo) et de BD, dans un style rétro qui fait penser à Emile et Rufus du grand Tomi Ungerer.
En bonus, la jaquette masquant une couverture astucieuse joue un rôle de pochette surprise. Recto-verso, l’enfant peut choisir la fin qu’il préfère.
